Wray Tibbetts Obituary

Tibbetts, Wray E. Jr. EAST GREENBUSH Wray E. Tibbetts, Jr., 61, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Wray was born in Albany. He retired as a store manager for Stewarts Shops for over 15 years. Wray was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as a sharpshooter and an MP for the Army during the Vietnam Era. He later became a member of Melvin Roads American Legion 1231. Wray was also a member of the Rensselaer Elks 2073. Wray enjoyed golf and playing darts. Predeceased by his mother, Lillian S. Tibbetts. Wray is survived by his one daughter, Taylor Tibbetts and two sons, Wray E. Tibbetts III, Ricky Tibbetts; his father, Wray E. Tibbetts Sr.; one sister, Kristina (Peter)Benko; former spouses, Vicki Ayers and Sue Dornan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 10:00 a.m. on Saturday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer. Friends may call in the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
