Steve and I were friends since 6th grade. From our days at LSAA as team mates to our days at Lee and Ed White when we competed against each other , hunting , fishing , growing up together and All the pranks he pulled on me , he will be sorely missed and remembered as a friend who always made me laugh , and now cry because I will miss him, our stories, and our friendship . You rest easy my brother and make our Lord and Savior laugh as only you could , I will see you again , but in the mean time, find us a good fishing hole and if you wanna meet me at Krystal on San Jaun from time to time let me know. May God bless you buddy , I will be around one day!

Steve was always such a joyful person and enjoyed making people laugh. We had a few laughs ourselves over the years and some memories that will last with me forever. He helped my family when they were in need and I will never forget it. I know he was looking forward to getting married and it is such a shame that he will not be able to follow through on that dream. But he dearly loved his fiancé and family members and would do anything for them. His passing leaves a big hole in the Jacksonville and Lee High School community, of which he was such a large part. He is certainly at peace now and no doubt, making God laugh with his many jokes. You will be surely missed, and many prayers go out to Courtney and the Harnois family.

The true nature of a man is not what he has done or earned in his life, but by the many hearts that he has left an impression upon. I don't know how to even begin to show my condolences to Steve's loved ones and family members, however I am truly sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Steve (Tiny) for two years. He always found a way to bring a smile to my face even on the bad days. For this, I was blessed. Steve was a great man, he will forever hold a place in my heart. He always took the time to make sure everything was ok, and if I didn't understand something he would walk me through it until I did. He had a knack for explaining and teaching you things and making you feel like a human being in his own way. I always looked forward to seeing him each day. There were not many days that he did not have a smile on his face, of course that could be because of the almond joys that I would have waiting for him during his afternoon visit. Either way, the world is a sadder place without him around. He is truly missed.

Steve was genuinely a pleasure to work with. He absolutely adored his Courtney and had a tremendous love for family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Steve shared that he never felt closer to God than when out enjoying nature through hunting and/or fishing. Well Jesus demonstrated a special affection for fisherman and we can only imagine the scenery they're sharing today. How awesome to think of him out fishing with our Lord.

I am sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I knew Steve when I was stationed in Jacksonville from 2000-2003. I met Steve thru fishing. After moving from Jacksonville I would see Steve at a few tournaments and then eventually kept up with him on Facebook. I will always have fond memories and thoughts of him. I am truly sorry for your loss. With deepest sympathies - Richard Bates

I spent many days and nights with Steve either hunting or fishing and find it hard to believe he is gone. I just talked two weeks ago to the same Steve that I have known over the years. May God wrap His loving arms around all the ones that loved him and give them peace as only He can.
