Paul J. Goodman TROY - Paul J. Goodman 63 of Troy, fell into the arms of the Lord on Sunday December 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving son and daughter after fighting a brief illness. Paul was born in Troy and was the son of the late James and Emma Turner Goodman. Paul was an extraordinary person who had many talents including his uncanny sense of humor. He was a gifted and talented carpenter who practiced his profession to perfection as a union carpenter. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed working with leather, but mostly he loved spending time with his family and will be remembered by his kind hearted and selfless nature. Paul is survived by his children Kelley and Joe Goodman and his former but devoted wife Barbara Goodman. He is also survived by two brothers James and Bill Goodman and was pre-deceased by his brother Neal Goodman. The funeral service for Paul will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1PM at The Wm. Leahy funeral home 336 Third Street Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11AM to 1PM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Troy. Donations to local charities and or animal shelters are suggested as a gesture to extend his selfless nature. A memorial service mass will be held a future date and will be communicated via family.
