Met Gary in 1985 on the Alomana golf course in Honolulu we ended up playing the back nine together and we were friends ever since. Gary was a very unique person who loved golf. I use to visit Gary at his Ohau Frame shop in Honolulu and we would usually leave there to play golf. I had a lot of fun times with Gary and will miss him, he was a true friend.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the whole family.
It has been over six months. It was over ten years since Gary and I had last talked. Not that long ago, I was thinking that if he was fine and doing the same business.
I recall that he was taking pictures of Kamakura, looking interestedly at wooden frames displayed in the window, and walking down the hall of the hotel carrying golf clubs.
I remember that he was busy meeting business associates or friends in Japan. He was just fun to be with.
Gary is with us within our hearts.

Sad to hear about the passing of Gary. I last saw him in '77 on a crowded Sunday walking in Waikiki on vacation. He spotting me in the crowd and I heard him in the distance calling my name. We had a nice visit that day.
Prayers go out to the family.

Many fond memories of growing up two houses from Gary and the Wax family. Gary lived life on his terms and found his greatest joy on the golf course. Need to follow Gary's path...and play more golf this year!

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We lost touch after high school, but I have often thought of him over the years. He was a fun guy, and we enjoyed a lot of good times back in those days. Gary was my favorite guys to hang out with between classes.

My condolences to his sister and brothers, and to all who are missing him now...
