May the family and friends of Vel Philips find comfort in our Heavenly Father the hearer of prayers knowing that he is not partial and the day will come when all Nations will live in Harmony.

Phillip D Anthony I will miss here dearly. She was a Bible example of ElohimYHWH-Jehovah intent of all his children. She & her husband walked the walk of there faith in a very disturbing time for the community she loved & served. With out Fear. I'll try to do the same . What an honor and a blessing to have been introduced to, and known, such a phenomenal woman as Vel Phillips! She has left the essence of her fingerprint on this city, on this state, on this country, and in the hearts of everyone who has been blessed to meet her. We will miss her physical presence, but Vel's legacy lingers in each one of our hearts and our lives. I pray that the comfort of peace carries her family, her loved ones, and her friends as they walk the final leg of this life's...

Vel was a phenomenal woman. Her intregity, strength, commitment, tenacity and wisdom were inspiring. Indeed, she was a role model for all of us in general and for women in paraticular. She left this world a much better place than she found it. May God rest her soul and grant her his eternal peace.
