ANNA MARIE KENNEY (Age 94)
On Monday, June 23, 2014, of Takoma Park, MD. Beloved wife of John H. Kenney; mother of Maureen Weaver and Thomas Kenney; grandmother of Eric Weaver (Gerry), Christopher Weaver, and Aaron Weaver (Jackie). Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 7501 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD, on Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

DEAR UNCLE JOHN, MAUREEN AN TOM. AUNT TATA WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH. I WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE HER IN OUR LIVES.OUR FAMILY IS SO SPECIAL AN LUCKY TO U ALL OF YOU IN OUR LIVES.SO MANY GREAT TIMES AS KIDS AN ADULTS WHEN SHE WAS AROUND US.AN NOW SHE CAN REST WITH HER BROTHERS . uncle john,aunt tata will be greatly missed.i loved ever chance I got to see her which was far to few when I moved to az.will always remember when u guys came to vist mom and dad.the vists will always be chersed by me.god bless hope u are doing well.to my cousins my heart goes out to you.your mom was one great lady,loved by lots.hope all is well with your familys,my heart goes out to all of you.god bless

Wishing I was able to be there but hope you know the love and respect I have for you Uncle John. My heart is also with you Maureen and Tommy. As for Aunt Tata I know she is safe in heaven and knows she was much loved.

I will remember Nonie as happy, loving, smart, funny and firm in her beliefs among all her other wonderful attributes. Most of all, she and Nono set an example of love and commitment to each other that lasted 68 years. It stands as a foundation for our family as a whole and especially for me, my wife Jackie and our two girls, Laila and Alaina, who Nonie blessed with love and kisses. That foundation, and her love, is undying and will last forever.

John and I enjoyed Anna very much over the past 13 years. She was always very kind to our family and treated our daughter, Jackie, like her own granddaughter. She will be missed by our family and many others.

It was a pleasure to know Mrs. Kenney. She was always friendly and accepted my daughter and me into the her family. I loved her like my own mother. She will be missed dearly.
