BETTY DAVIS MORSE (Age 91) "GAGA"
On Friday, September 11, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Morse, Sr.; mother of Kathleen Terlep, Susan Duffy, Judy Morse, Rick and the late Chris Morse; grandmother of Hope Crutchfield, Vincent Terlep, Christine Murphy, Brian Terlep, James Duffy, Adrian Williams and Ricky Morse; also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Betty was a lifetime member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 268. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 South Leisure World Blvd, Silver Spring, MD, on Friday, September 18 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Inwood House, 10921 Inwood Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20902 a residential community designed specifically for adults with a disability where Gaga's eldest granddaughter Hope resides.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I am honored to have known Betty 'Gaga' Morse since 1989 as my best friend, Hope Crutchfield, is her oldest granddaughter. I loved Gaga very much: she was such a cool and kind lady & she made me laugh whenever I saw her. My paternal grandmother died in 1980 at the age of 66 & I didn't know her that well--if I could choose grandparents, I would be honored to have Gaga & Dad (the late Dick Morse, Gaga's husband & my friend Hope's beloved maternal grandfather)as heaven-sent grandparents. I love my friend Hope, her mother Judy, her brother Adrian & her extended family very much & I wish them much love & peace during this difficult time. I will always remember Gaga's humor & kindness (and her license plate that said GAGA on her car: how cool is that?) and how she reeked class wherever she went. She was an elegant woman that I so admired & I will miss her terribly & remember her always. xoxo Much love to Judy, Kathy, Susan, Rick, Adrian and my beloved friend Hope (can you feel my arms around you?
