BETTY JANE GREEN (Age 83)
On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Green, Sr.; mother of Robert L. (Denise) Jr., Mary (Greg) Bruch, Kathleen Howard, Regina Staley, Deborah (Mike) Fitzgerald, and Pam Green Rossomondo; also survived by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Dalton B. Newell, Jr. and Joseph P. (TanTi) Newell. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Sunday, May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, May 2, at 11 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. We were all fortunate to have known Betty and I was lucky to have her as an aunt. She was classy, always appreciative, and had a kind word whenever you saw her. At the same time she demonstrated an unbelievable strength. I will always remember the many fun times, parties, Swedish meatballs, and gazpacho!
