Carolyn Queen Martin Balderston (Age 93)
On Thursday, May 14, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Mervin Martin and the late William Balderston; mother of Jerry (Sharon) Martin, Ken (Diane) Martin, Diane (John) Dantagnan, step-mother of Mike (Joyce) Balderston, Bill (Gwen) Balderston, Tom (Tokjon) Balderston, Betsey (John) O'Day. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, May 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 10401 Armory & Mitchell Avenue, Kensington, MD on Tuesday, May 19, at 12 p.m. Interment private. I knew Carolyn for almost all of my life. It was my pleasure to reunite with her and her devoted daughter and son at the end of her life. She was a beautiful and proud woman, with a strong faith. My prayers are with her and her family at this difficult time. She is missed.
