CATHERINE MURPHY "Kathleen"
On Sunday, October 8, 2017, formerly of Rockville, MD. Beloved wife of the late John Jarlath Murphy; loving mother of Patricia "Trish" Healy (Joseph Healy Jr.); honorary grandmother of Kara and Kyle Healy; sister of Peggy Keane, Eily O'Donoghue, the late Paddy Joe and Denis O'Donoghue, Mary Ita Murtha and Norrie Barry. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and their spouses and children. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Wednesday, October 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Thursday, October 12 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Trish - My thoughts and prayers to you and your family . I have many fond memories of both your mother and father . Christmas fun at the English's and all those Irish events. I remember well the smiles your parents always had when they saw me. Kathleen was an enjoyable and resilient Irish woman. May she rest in peace.

Bob and I send our sincere sympathy to you and your family, Trish. I have many happy memories of "Mother Murphy", and I smile when I think of her asking "Is everything under control?!" We are away for the month of October, so we will be unable to attend the wake and the funeral. We will be there in spirit. God give her rest. God bless and comfort you.
