On Sunday, June 21, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved father of Daniel Kemp, Charles Clements, V, and James Clements; brother of Bob Clements (Tessa), Frank Clements (Siobhan), Mike Clements (Patricia), Vicki Clements DiBella (Frank), Jeanne Clements Demato (Don), Jennifer Clements Hall (Mike), Jimmy Clements, Bill Clements (Craig). Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, June 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. Interment private. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

It took just a few spontaneous chats with Charlie at the infamous, local Pub, and it was obvious he was a cool, entertaining, genuinely kind person with absolutely no hidden agenda about life or who he was. Over the past week, a dark cloud of despondency has loomed over the locals et al who knew him. Final goodbyes, especially to someone as sanguine, are never easy... so... no goodbye. Instaed, I'll say "Farewell for now, Charlie. Most people are lucky if they touch the lives of just a few. You touched MANY, and by that, my friend, you live on. Rest in peace, Charlie Clements..."

Charlie was a good friend, neighbor, great plumber and just a salt of the earth guy whom I have known for forty plus years. I will definitely miss our great times together growing up in Four Corners, Md. Glad we were able to reconnect again again after so many years to pick up where we left off in 1975. My deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family. RIP my friend you will be missed by many...a life well lived!

To all who loved Charlie,
I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Charlie and he will be missed greatly. Family parties won't be the same without him and I am so sorry I cannot be there to give everyone all my love and support. Charlie was a great family member and always so accepting towards me and the rest of my family. He will be truly missed and I cannot put into words how awful this all is. He is looking down on everyone now and will live on in everyone's lives who he touched.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to the entire Clements family.
I was a helper of Charlie's when we worked in plumbing at API.Then eventually sold him plumbing supplies. He was also my friend and will be sorely missed.

I am so grateful god allowed me to be a close friend of Charlie's. We were friends in High school and recently reconnected as if we never lost touch. I will miss our late night talks, grilling Rockfish, and meeting at the Pub, KOC or our newest pizza place. For many years now I would text Charlie on Christmas Day to wish him a happy birthday. I always thought it would stink to have a birthday on Christmas Day and Charlie was always so appreciative of my simple gesture. He was that kind of person. He was a good neighbor for many years and a good friend for even longer. I'm so sorry for the loss of such a good man. Danny, Chaz, and James-you're dad was so loved and he loved you so much! Charlie was more than our plumber, he was our friend and always took care of us. His particular brand of sunshine was always a bright spot in our day. I'll never forget how we could call him at any time, and he even came out to Frederick County to help us with a job. I have fond and funny memories of Charlie...a dead Christmas tree in the dining room in July, mohawks and motorcycles. He was quite a character and lived life his way.
