Byrd was our neighbor on Ogelthorpe St. I was just a kid but I remember him well. He was always so kind to my family. I think of him often and I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.

Thinking of Baby Charles always brings me joy, and laughter remembering the ol times we spent together. He always treated me like a queen.

"How ya gonna act?"...was, at one time, one of Byrd's favorite things to say. When all of 'Chicago cousins' would invade the Maryland family, we'd always look forward to the laughs we'd have to look forward to. Byrd has been through so much and is now at peace...up there with the Aunts and Uncles watching tv or playing cards. Say Hi to Aunt Toots for me! Love you all so much!

"How ya gonna act!?" was one of Byrd's favorite things to say. He always acted like a loving cousin..he cared for everyone. Whenever all of us 'Chicago cousins' came to invade the Maryland family, it was always a fun time for all--full of laughter. We will miss our sweet 'Byrd'.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of my cousin, Baby Charles .
Although we lived miles apart as adults, the few visits we had
together were always very enjoyable. You will always live in our
hearts and prayers. Love to my aunt Marie and the rest of the family.
