ELIZABETH ANN BURNS (Age 79)
On Saturday, October 8, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved daughter of the late Theodore A. and Lillian Vaughan Burns; sister of the late Mary Patricia Beane and Theodore A. Burns, Jr. of Tacoma, WA.; aunt of Karen Beane (Matthew) Egan, Kathy (Marty) Gwinn, Mary (Dick) Muri and Michael (Debbie) Burns. Also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Thursday, October 13, from 10 to11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I had the honor and pleasure of visiting Betty at Angels Garden where her sister, Pat also spent many hours by her side. Betty was valiant in her suffering and an inspiration to us all. I loved her very much and she will always be in my prayers. Nancy Biggin, Shrine of St. Jude

I'm so sorry Betty has passed. I visited her often at the home where she spent the last few years. Her suffering was great but she never complained in my presence. God rest her soul. Will be out of town the day of her funeral. Am so sorry to miss being there.
