Thank you for the memories and the opportunity to say that I often think of Gene. He was one of the "Good Guys", and I often ask myself "What would Gene do?". Blessings for Gene's Family and Friends.

Lynn,
Jack and I are so sorry to hear of Gene's death. We did some research when our Christmas card came back and learned from the Fordham list that he had died last year. Hope you are well, wherever you are.

So many happy memories that include Gene, growing up in Parkchester. He took me to my Senior Prom at St. Helena's High School. I remember fondly summer vacations with the Ferricks and the Goffs at Squam Lake.

My brother, Frank Herrmann, and I were so happy to reconnect with Gene and Lynne at Squam a few summers ago after 55 or so years!!

My sincere condolences to Lynne and the family. I feel very lucky to have known Gene and I know he touched so many people.

With love and prayers,

Rose and I want to express our deepest sympathies to Lynn and the whole Ferrick Family. We have been laughing at some of our memories of Gene during the TDRS HIJ days. Gene was a good friend and mentor. "The boss is doing well, Gene"

From my Mother and I we offer our deepest sympathy. Gene was such a good friend to both Ben and Rita. I could never thank your Father enough for all he did for my Mother when my Father passed. Your family is in my (and my Mother's) thoughts and prayers

We were so sorry to hear of Gene's death. He certainly served St. Jude's with deep devotion and commitment for many years. May God reward him for his charity and generosity. We are unable to be present for Gene's wake and funeral, as we are hibernating in FL but we will be with you in spirit and will remember Gene and all the family in prayer.

We didn't know Gene well or see him frequently but we remember his loving spirit and it makes us smile to think of it. He always seemed glad to see us and treated like his own. He must have been a great father, we are proud to call his daughter Beth sister. Peace be with you Gene.

I am so sorry to hear of Gene's death. He and his parents were important and loving friends of my family and me since our days In The Bronx and, most memorably, at Squam Lake, NH, that special place where we all vacationed together. My condolences to Lynn and the children of all generations. I will offer Mass that Gene may rest in God's peace, even deeper than that great peace we enjoyed at Squam.

Gene was such a warm and loving cousin. Whenever we were together he always greeted me with a big smile and a huge hug (he gave the best hugs!)- and he always said "Hi, Doll!" He sure did make me feel special! There is so much that I will miss about Gene but most especially his kind and loving heart. He was the best and I am so proud to call him my "cuz". I love you, Lynn, and all of the fabulous cousins and their families.

One of my favorite memories of my cousin Gene was the day he traveled from MD to NJ to bring an autographed picture of Neil Armstrong planting the American flag on the moon (7/20/69) to my very patriotic dad "Uncle Joe" on his death bed.
We were truly blessed to have Gene in our lives.
May he Rest in Peace.
Love, Rita Marie
