GABRIELA GARAY (Age 18)
Suddenly at University of Kentucky, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, of Washington, DC. Beloved daughter of Moe and Berty Garay; sister of Walter Garay; granddaughter of Juanita Garay, Berta Aleman, and Arnoldo Garay; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and The HIGHLANDS Restaurant community. Relatives and friends may call at St. Andrew Apostle Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, September 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Garay Family,
We pray for peace in the loss of sweet Gabriela and subsequent joy in the days ahead. Jada, Jasmine and I were glad to be at Gaby's awesome home going today. I remember Walter and Jada in the same grade. Gabriela and Jasmine in the same grade at ICS. Our children grew together. They were good friends.
May God continue to bless you and keep you always. Take comfort in knowing where Gaby is.....in the arms of the father....her creator.

I taught Gaby for her senior year. But the truth is that Gaby taught me so much more than I ever could have taught her. She taught me about faith in hard times by living it out. She taught me about true friendship and the love of friends.
I have never met a more tender, thoughtful, inspiring, and generous soul and I will be thinking of and praying for her all the days of my life. That's the impact that Gaby had on my life.
Love you Mo and Berty. May God guide you through your darkest hour and may you find peace in the fact that Gaby now resides with our Lord whom she loved so much.
