Greetings to the Family and Friends of Ed Stefic--
Jim and Joann Fletcher were neighbors with Ed for many years. Ed lived at one end of the 4100 Block of Van Buren St. and we live on the opposite end of the block. We have known Ed and enjoyed his friendship. Before Ed sold his home and moved to Riderwood Jim helped Ed do improvements to his home. I would appreciate hearing from someone in the family. Would like to find out if Ed ever served in the US Armed Forces. The town of Univ. Park has dedicated the future site for a Veterans Memorial. If Ed did serve, I would like to enter his name in our town archives. My email address [email protected]. Thank you, The Fletchers

I cannot express enough how much Uncle Ed will be dearly missed. He was the youngest in his family of a brother and three sisters, yet he was the patriarch of them all. He was their pride and joy, their shining light. They all worked together tirelessly to send him to college which gave him the ability to use his knowledge and education to better so many lives in so many ways. I will sorely miss our many conversations and sharing photos so that we could stay in touch. Rest in peace my dear uncle, you have certainly left this world a better place for having known you as both family and friend. Your love will live on in all of our hearts and souls.

There are not enough kind words I could express to accurately describe my Uncle Ed. I always admired his perspective and the thoughtful advice he provided. There is no doubt that he had a heavy influence on my decision to go into the field of education. When we last spoke, he stressed that he was proud of my life choices to teach students and coach high school football. His pride was based on how important it was to guide and assist young people into adulthood. This speaks volumes about this man. He was kind, intelligent, and seemed to really understand what was important in life. He touched many lives in his time on this planet. I am a better man for having had him in my life.
