Greetings to the Family and Friends of Ed Stefic--
Jim and Joann Fletcher were neighbors with Ed for many years. Ed lived at one end of the 4100 Block of Van Buren St. and we live on the opposite end of the block. We have known Ed and enjoyed his friendship. Before Ed sold his home and moved to Riderwood Jim helped Ed do improvements to his home. I would appreciate hearing from someone in the family. I cannot express enough how much Uncle Ed will be dearly missed. He was the youngest in his family of a brother and three sisters, yet he was the patriarch of them all. He was their pride and joy, their shining light. They all worked together tirelessly to send him to college which gave him the ability to use his knowledge and education to better so many lives in so many ways. There are not enough kind words I could express to accurately describe my Uncle Ed. I always admired his perspective and the thoughtful advice he provided. There is no doubt that he had a heavy influence on my decision to go into the field of education.
