JAMES LINCOLN COLLINS, SR., M.D. COL (Ret.) (Age 76)
On Sunday, August 23, 2015 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Beverley A. Collins; father of James L. (Lydia) Collins, Jr., Lisa M. Dobbins, Kimberly M. (Scott) Siegfried and Jennifer L. (John) Scata; brother of Deborah, Sheila, Leon, David and Phillip; grandfather of Nicholas, Collin, Sophia, Morgan, Mark, Olivia, Michael, William, Alana and Daniela. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Leon and Eva Collins, sister, Antoinette Bowen and son-in-law, Stephen Dobbins. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, September 4, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 3820 Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD, 20906 on Saturday, September 5 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of COL (Ret.) James L. Collins Sr. M.D., P.O. I knew James during his time at USU and seeing him when he visited the campus after leaving his position. He was a fine man, warm and compassionate with the gift of making you feel good. My prayers go to his family. May he rest in peace.
