I was stationed with Jane at McGaw Caserne in Munich, Germany, from 1990 - 1992. 27 years have passed since then, and there are only very few people I remember from that time. Jane definitely is one of them. Her distinctive last name is one reason. The much bigger reason is that immense intellect and wit, and the humorous barbs she and I often exchanged. This was clearly one of her greatest gifts, as reflected by so many others here. I am saddened that she had to go so early, but glad for the privilege of having walked a couple of steps with her along her life's path.

Jane - you are in a better place now! You made such significant sacrifices and contributions to the security of our Nation. I look back and laugh at the great times we shared finishing our masters degrees together and the process of writing our thesis. You were always so much fun to be around and made everyone laugh.
Love you and miss you!!

This is the most recent and last photo of Jane eating at her favorite Cuban restaurant in November 2013. And as usual, good conversation and animated discussions. It was particularly that way with John and Jane.

There was never a dull moment whenever Jane was around. Her smile and her great sense of humor could easily bring any boring gathering to life. That was Jane. Even in sickness Jane never lost her sense of humor. It is God's will that Jane is now with the Good Lord. Yes, God needs Jane more. Rest in peace, Jane.

My sincere condolances to your family John. Although I did not know Jane, John; you spoke of her often and how proud you were of her service to our country. I am sorry to see that your sister had to go so young. May you find peace in her memory and the faith that you will see each other again. I pray for you and your family in this time of loss.

I've worked with Jane for nearly ten years and am saddened by all she had to endure. But I do appreciate all the fun we used to have discussing,
commiserating over anything and everything. We would discover all the world's problems, and decide how to solve them. God Bless, Jane.
