Beloved husband of Shirley Thomas; father of William Norton, Jr., Donna Querido and Barbara Woody; grandfather of Sharon Brown, Lauren Rubinstein, Joshua and Dalton Woody; great-grandfather of Mabel Eames. I was a former neighbor of John's in the late 70's in Silver Spring at Glen Manor Condominium where he was president of the Condominium Board for several years. I remember him as a caring and kind neighbor who was very supportive to other condo owners, especially in resolving issues and concerns that helped the building owners resolve many crises. He always had a smile and a light hearted quip which often helped diminish many difficult situations that come from condo living. My sincere condolences to Shirley and his family.
