Dear Belva and family, it is not a day that goes by that your dad is not remembered for his kindness during the lost of my dad who was funeralized at the Church of God at 2030 Georgia Avenue, NW. He showed so much compansion. I am the baby girl and a daddy's girl so I can certainly know how different it is to loose a dad I remember how you called me and gave me your condolences. Your dad was so compassionate when he allowed my daughter Theresa to close and that was a honor for her since my dad had treated a grandchild like she were his very own and she dearly loved him and cared for him all by herself and dad had given her instructions to make sure you pay Mr. Jenkins before you pay anyone and she did. Thank you Belva for allowing us to be a small part of your dad's celebration of life, it was a wonderful service for a wonderful person. I have always been deeply afraid of the deceased but, by your dad taking time to talk to me at various services my daughter officiated on I accepted it more and now I can attend most anyone's celebration of life. I sincerely hope I have said something to uplift you and your family and please know that I will continue to remember you, your mom and brother in my prayers. Take good care of yourself and keep on caring about people. You are truly showing God's love. Prayerfully,
Jane J. Hawkins and Theresa M. Jones
PS Thank you for giving Theresa a chance and for always making sure she had a ride home. You are her mentor and may the God of all comfort continue to be with you and your family. We love you.

On behalf of everyone who has ever worn the chevrons of a sergeant major, we are deeply saddened and want to pass along our sincere condolences to the entire family. CSM Jenkins shared the same passion for soldiering as his legendary peers who have come before him. He also shared the same desire to excel, becoming a command sergeant major. Throughout his life, he put service first, both to the nation and his community. Command Sergeant Major Jenkins was a terrific soldier and perhaps more importantly a better person and a great mentor. He will be truly missed by the entire NCO Corps community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Be thou at Peace.

Mrs. Jenkins and Family,

The world however beautiful, was never meant to be, the place that we would call our home for all eternity. And though we would not choose to leave, a loving God knows best and in His time He lifts us to a place of peace and rest.

For He has built a mansion where His children will abide, free from pain and sorrow, forever at His side.
And though there may be many things that we cannot explain, we can be sure it breaks His heart to see His children’s pain.

In loving arms, He bears us to a quiet place apart, where He mends the wounded spirit and heals the broken heart.

And though Mr. Jenkins, whom you loved so much, has left your present sight, he’s passed into a better world of majesty and light. Someday you’ll be together in our Father’s home above, where you’ll thank Him for His mercy and praise Him for His love.

Please know that my prayers are with you and your family during this time of bereavement --

Dear Sister Lula & Jenkins Family.

We are praying for you during this very difficult time, and we are trusting God to carry you in his loving arms. Bro Jenkins was always so kind and gentle, he loved the Lord and is now resting with the Lord, he truly has been a blessing to the Taylor Family and many in the Kingdom of God; his great legacy will live forever.

John 3:16 reminds us,
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What a Promise & Victory to Celebrate!

We all loved Brother JB; however Jesus loved him even more.
