KATHLEEN OWENS (Age 67)
On Thursday, November 5, 2015 of Wheaton, MD. Beloved mother of Darla J. Edwards and her husband, James; sister of Joseph V. Gough III, Eileen Carter-Santos, Pamela A. Clark and Loraine A. Gough; grandmother of Jordan, Maxwell and Michael Edwards. Also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be offered at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association, Alzheimer's Association or to the Hospice Organization of your choice. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Darla, my heart dropped, when I learned of your Mom's passing. As I shared during our conversation earlier today, I am so very saddened and sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to you, James and the boys. I know this loss will leave a tremendous void in each of your hearts. As you all adjust to life without your Mom's daily presence, I pray that fond memories will increasingly brighten your hearts and ease the pain of the grief that you now feel. Be especially thankful for and cherish the last five years that you all shared so closely.
