Margy had such a great attitude toward the political nonsense surrounding her job - a roll of the eyes and a mischievous smile, a shrug and back to work!

I was Margie´s colleague at OIRA. She was such a delight to work with. She had an intuitive feel for policy work at the White House level. She was not impressed by rank, but by knowledge, but she was patient and respectful of the rank that was constantly parading around the White House. Her most endearing quality to me was her impish sense of humor, which she sometimes conveyed with just a raised eyebrow or the ghost of a smile. She was beloved and missed.
With much love and affection to Margie´s memory.

Margie was the best student I taught in my 35 years at Rosemont. She was one of two, maybe one of one, women admitted to the Ph.D program in economics at the U of Chicago in her graduation year. Shame on Chicago but kudos to Margie. It was a privilege to teach and know her. Prayers for her family.

Please accept my condolences on Margaret's passing. It was truly a privilege and pleasure to have worked with her. She was a rarity in DC--a smart, honest, tough, practical, knowledgeable, and funny bureaucrat. She may not have written the regulations but she made them all the better for her review. And she always had time to discuss our shared passion--craft shows. I'll be thinking of her every time I go to the ACC Show in Baltimore. May you also find comfort and strength in your memories of happier times.

Margie was a classmate of mine from Junior High & High School. But my fondest memories are of her as Co-Captain (with Maureen Sheehan) & her leadership ability of the Springbrook High School Poms. Her beautiful smile, creativity, and ability to have fun was infectious. May your family find peace

I was privileged to work with Margie for several years in OIRA. She was smart, took a common sense approach that is often lacking these days, and always maintained a great sense of humor. I admired her so much for all these things - but even more for her dedication and love for her family. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and many loved ones in this time of enormous loss.

Margaret was an informed and skilled public policy negotiator. As a regulatory sparring partner, she always had a gleam in her eye when she had you up against the ropes. She had a spirited sense of humor. For those of us who had the pleasure of working with her, however briefly, she will be fondly remembered and missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
