I was Margie´s colleague at OIRA. She was such a delight to work with. She had an intuitive feel for policy work at the White House level. She was not impressed by rank, but by knowledge, but she was patient and respectful of the rank that was constantly parading around the White House. Her most endearing quality to me was her impish sense of humor, which she sometimes conveyed with just a raised eyebrow or the ghost of a smile. She was beloved and missed. With much love and affection to...

Margie was the best student I taught in my 35 years at Rosemont. She was one of two, maybe one of one, women admitted to the Ph.D program in economics at the U of Chicago in her graduation year. Shame on Chicago but kudos to Margie. It was a privilege to teach and know her. Prayers for her family.

What a shock to see the notice in the paper. I knew Margie a bit when our kids were at WIS together. Smart, thoughtful, wonderful person. So sorry for your loss.

Please accept my condolences on Margaret's passing. It was truly a privilege and pleasure to have worked with her. She was a rarity in DC--a smart, honest, tough, practical, knowledgeable, and funny bureaucrat. She may not have written the regulations but she made them all the better for her review. And she always had time to discuss our shared passion--craft shows. I'll be thinking of her every time I go to the ACC Show in Baltimore. May you also find comfort and strength in your memories...
