My deepest sympathies to all of the Breslin family at the loss of Martha. She was my mother's best friend and always an inspiration to me in the way she lived her life; as a teacher, mother, friend she was the best. After my mother passed away, I occasionally called to check in with Martha and she always lifted my spirits. May you all be comforted knowing that she is surely in heaven now & reunited with all of her family & friends that went before.

I went to school with Margaret. I lost my own mother in 2014; she was 96. So I know the heartache. I'm sorry for the Breslin Family's loss.

Grew up across the street in Capitol Heights in the early 50.s. Though I lost touch with the family Mom always kept in touch. In 2007 I drove Mom from NC to Md for an award at Sarto Hall in Forestville and we stayed over with Martha and Joe at the retirement home. That Sunday Mass embarrassed Martha because it was non denominational. I remember telling her they had good lectors and cantors and especially remembered the motorized wheelchairs charging up the aisle at Communion. Thought is was the Charlotte Motor Speedway restart. Also, on the way around 495 on Sunday we were moving along at about 35 mph and I asked Joe what the speed limit was, not that it mattered. Later that year I had to call and notify Martha of Mom's passing and I will keep that conversation forever private. Condolences to all the remaining family that I have lost touch with over the years!

When I was born, we lived across the street from the Breslins. No finer group of people has ever grace the face of God' green earth. I consider all of you cousins because Martha was like a treasured Aunt. She was my mother's best friend ever! Now, they get to be BFF's in Heaven. May she be joyous in God's sight right where they both belonged! I know they are already enjoying each other's company. My tears are real and are probably going to ruin my computer keyboard but that is only STUFF. May she rest in the Peace of God Most Holy! My condolences to the entire family. If I had known sooner, I can assure you I would be at her funeral but I just found out when it was about 20 minutes ago!

To the Breslin family,
Our deepest condolences to each of you on the passing of your mother. What a great life she had. I fondly remember Aunt Martha and Uncle Joe and all of you visiting us in Chicago during the summers when we were kids. Sometimes chaotic, but always fun. I know that you are comforted in knowing that your mother is being welcomed back home by your father and dear brother Bob. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. (Joanie--as always, a special hello to you.)

Martha was a joy to talk to every time I came to visit her with my husband's mother, Geraldine Logan. They were the best of friends and I found out that Martha taught her how to sew! I am a sewer too! What a great teacher, too. Now she will be with her dear friend. Many prayers and love,Bobbie Logan

In her 100 years on this earth, Mrs. Breslin helped create a better world with a family of caring children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The summer celebration of her 100th birthday was a joy to hear about. You did her proud! Holding each of you in the comforting light of love and peace.

Be comforted in knowing that God is with you during this difficult time and
that there are friends that also share your sorrow with you. I find Psalm
121 to be very comforting during these times.
