To all of the Purbuaghs
I just learned about Mr. Purbaugh's passing tonight. I'm sorry I did not hear sooner! I have soo many great memories of my beach vacations with your family and the "infamous" cooking lessons I got from Mr. Purbaugh! Your dad was a great one Cheryl Ann and Mike! May his memories remain with you forever! Kathleen Leahy Moreland

Marvin was such an important part of the NBC team. Such a hard worker and took such pride in his work. I am honored to have known and worked with him. Godspeed, Marvin. I am pretty sure you will light the way for us all.

I send my condolences to the entire Purbaugh family.
I worked with Marvin for many years and he was a talented, extraordinary lighting expert. I feel grateful to have worked with him. He made everyone look good! NBC was lucky to have him. He was truly the best of the best. Sincerely, Elizabeth Vaughan

Marvin was a friend over many years. He always helped me as a still photographer and I must admit that many of my TIME covers were lit by Marvin. Am attaching a photo and hope that you all can use it in anyway that you want.
