Mary Jane was a dear friend of mine for many years in Silver Spring, and Kevin and Will were friends, too. We both loved to garden, although she was the expert! My condolences to her sons. Goodbye, Mary Jane; you'll be gardening in heaven.

Mary Jane Miller was a long time member of the Silver Spring Garden Club. She worked closely with my mother who was the president of the Club for many years. Mary Jane was known as the herb lady and her expertise in herbs was known by all. She would run the herb table at the annual Garden Mart held in May of each year.

Ms. Miller was a neighbor and a very elegant and gracious lady. I met her through the Silver Spring Garden Club years ago and bought some exquisite and unique rose necklaces then lavender necklaces from her. These items were made by her and members of the herb society and I have never seen such necklaces anywhere else. Mr. Miller's residence in Silver Spring was around the corner from my street. I enjoyed seeing her white peonies and speaking with her when taking walks. My condolences to the family.

I just saw this woman and she was still vibrant. I remember well the basement full of plants that just smelled good. A shock and disheartenment. My wife and both feel a loss and we offer our prayers to the family during this time of mourning.
