Mary Jane Perman (Age 91)
On Friday, November 20, 2015, of Washington, DC. Beloved mother of Tom Poling, Robin Luther and the late Ted Poling and Linda Teel; grandmother of Bobby Wiggins, Danny Wiggins, Theresa Mooring, Nicole Toomey, Brittaney Tassell, Blake Luther and Mark Luther; great-grandmother of Michael Toomey, Travis Toomey, Brady Wiggins, Lisa Hart and Tiffany Munden; great-great-grandmother of Taylor and Tyler Hart. Mary was a native Washingtonian who served her community as a member of the first corps of women Crossing Guards in 1953, a Federal Government employee, an active member of National Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Golden Grannies dance troop. She was a loyal Redskin fan, season ticket holder and recently attended the winning home game against the Eagles. Her talents included singing, dancing, sewing, interior design and most of all making her family feel loved. She supported all of us in our endeavors with her strong leadership, moral support, and sacrificial giving. Memorial Service will be celebrated at National Presbyterian Church, 4101 Nebraska Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, on Saturday, December 5 at 3:30 p.m. Interment private. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my past Mother-In-Law and truly lovely person. I know the love she had for her family, and a kind heart with everyone. I wish I could have seen her again before she died. With sincere sympathy, I pray for the families heart to heal .

I got to know the late Mary Jane Perman as a fellow parishioner at National Presbyterian Church here in Washington, DC in the fall of 2012 when I joined the church. Mary and I were in Bible classes together in Sunday school. She served alongside me as a volunteer in the church library. She was a kind, gentle lady. Rest in peace, Mary.
