MARY MARIE KOPPER (Age 95)
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, of West Hyattsville, MD. Beloved wife of the late Andrew E. Kopper; mother of Michael E. (Susan) Kopper, Sr., Dr. James A. (Miriam) Kopper, Kevin K. Kopper and Kathleen A. (Dr. Karl) Diehn; grandmother of Stacy Allwein, Laura Otis, Kenneth Kopper, Megan Wood, Karl Diehn, Kelly Kopper, Kate Wolf, Kevin Diehn, the late Michael E. Kopper, Jr. and the late Shawn Kopper; sister of the late Karl F. Muller and the late Margaret Johnson. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, April 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, April 6, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Oh dear, how we miss our Mrs. Kopper - her smile, sweet remarks, cute stories, and the interest and gratitude she showed to everyone here at her nursing home. Getting a smile from her made life beautiful. Thank you, her loving family, for sharing her special charm and making me a better Nurse by caring for a better woman. My sincerest sympathies to the Kopper & Diehn families. I lived in Lewisdale and Mary (Pert) carpooled with me for years while working at the Government Printing Office. She was a friend to my family. Many years have passed and we lost contact but I will always remember her and Andy, the association we had with the family and the care and concern they provided my family in my time of need. She was one of the kindest persons I know. I will always remember her and miss her.
