On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, of Kensington, MD. Beloved wife of the late William J. Holland; mother of Dr. Paul (Jane) Holland, Miriam (Donald) Kinner, Dr. Susan Holland (Michael Proctor), Amy Yendall and Jennifer (David) Holland-Still; grandmother of Matthew (Lori) and Caitlin Proctor, Keil and Kelsey Kinner, Billy Yendall and Brendan Still. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, July 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I was one of the many children of Holy Cross to have Mrs. Holland for English for at least four years. The base of knowledge of the English language including grammar that she gave me is something that I have used my entire life and that I have passed along to my kids. I am forever indebted. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the entire Holland Family. Your mother was a great neighbor and teacher to many of us that attended Holy Cross. I know she is now reunited with your father in Heaven. May God bless all of you and may our Lord lessen your sorrow!
