You're antics and laughter will always bring a smile. You leave a void in our lives but fill our hearts with warm memories.
I am honored to know you Mike. You were so modest about the sacrifices you made that took so much of your youth and left you with physical and emotional scars of war. A true hero in my eyes.

I am sooooooo very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great guy and though I haven't seen him for a zillion years I was always fond of the entire Carroll family. I've known a few of them since our teens. RIP Mike and many prayers and warm hugs to your loved ones.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Mike Carroll's passing. Mike, his father, uncle and brothers have cared for three generations of my family and our cars. I remember how Mike and his brothers always cam out to fill up the tank of my mothers car, so she didn't have to get out of the car herself. Mike rescued us once when Mom ran out of gas on Old Columbia maybe a half mile short of the station at Fairland Road. She sent my brother and I to walk to he station and get a gas tank. Mike insisted on driving us back and he and his father gave her quite a lecture about not running out of gas with five kid in the car. One time, Mom's car wouldn't start and Ben or Jerry came to our house to figure out the problem, but first drove us to school so we wouldn't be late. It was the care and above and beyond service that the Carroll family always gave dr. and Mrs. Kramer that lead us to rely on them for over fifty years to care for our cars. When I returned to Maryland as a single parent I relied on Mike Carroll to keep my car running for the past twenty years. I could always trust him to be straight with me about what had to be done and what could wait to keep things affordable. My brothers and brother-in-law have also been long time customers. the tradition continued when my children grew up, they too relied on Mike Carroll to keep their cars running. Not many business people get that kind of customer loyalty, but Mike and his family deserved every bit of it for their honesty, integrity and service above and beyond for so long.
Words do not do justice, to my gratitude to Mike Carroll, not only for his service to our country in very difficult times, but also for the way he ran his business for so long.
You will be sorely missed.
My deepest condolences to your family, Mike is someone to be honored.
Sincerely, Virginia Custer, daughter of Norman and Patricia Kramer

I was very sorry to hear about Mike's passing and wanted to express our deepest condolences. I worked for Mike for years at Fairland Exxon and learned a lot about business, cars and life in general. Mike touched a lot of young men's lives and was a strong figure to many of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and Max. I appreciate his service to our country and will never forget the little we knew about it even though he did not like to talk about it. May he rest in peace.
