PATRICIA MAY FLYNN
Patricia Flynn (née Holland), age 85, of Silver Spring passed away September 4, 2015, at her home in Silver Spring. A native of Chicago, Pat moved to the Washington area in 1956 with her husband, Michael F. Flynn, Sr., who died in 1999. She was past president of the St. Camillus Women's Club and a member of the Gonzaga Mother's Club. A devoted Catholic and gracious hostess, her greatest joy was spending time with her large family and many friends.Pat leaves behind her seven beloved children and their spouses: Michael (Eileen), Dan (Priscilla), and John (Teresa), all of Silver Spring; Tim (Patti) of Olney, Md.; Bridget Polanin (John) of Chatham, N.J. and Sydney, Australia; Sheila Maloney (Tim) of Kensington, Md. and Mary Agnes Trainor (Mike) of Salem, Ma.; 24 cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by her children Eileen and Thomas and her sister, Margaret Mear.A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring; where the Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 10 a.m. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 924 G Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20001. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
