When not fishing, he enjoyed golfing with his buddies Frank Junghans and Bill Wilkinson. Interment was at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate and remember his life at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, Maryland, on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow. To all of my uncle's family Jon and I send our sincerest sympathies in his passing. What a blessed, full and enriched life Dr. Richard A. Dickson lived. We had so hoped to be present at the Memorial Service tomorrow but circumstances here in Swoope, VA, our home, are not currently permitting us to travel. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We'll be with you in spirit. Thanks to Emily for our special phone conversation. It meant a lot to connect after many years. And thank you for your sweet card and for sending us your Dad's legacy. Our love to you and all the family. Meredith and Jon...the Arnesons
