RICHARD G. KOZLOWSKI (Age 78)
On Tuesday, January 10, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Nancy Kozlowski; father of Michele (Edward) Wojtan and Rick (Marie) Kozlowski; grandfather of Eddie, Nicole, Kelly, Joe, and Steven; brother of Betty Wieske, Jeri Kulick, and Denise McDonnell. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD 20866 on Friday, January 13, from 5 to 8 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I was just thinking of Richard yesterday....some very fond memories just popped up for no real reason. We cross paths with many wonderful people in our lives and some are more special than others. Richard was in the latter group for me professionally and personally. While at Van Ness Feldman he represented my employer, Honda, at my recommendation as outside Counsel in a very serious environmental enforcement action. I always felt is a true tribute to him to be complemented to me privately by Japanese Executives both here and in Japan for what a genuine professional he was and the good advice and expert counsel he gave to the company.....they give out those sincere complements on very rare occasions. He was a wonderful communicator and exuded such honesty and character. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Mr. Kozlowski....he was a very good and dear friend and I miss him very much.
