STUART GREENWOOD Obituary


STUART WILLIAM GREENWOOD  (Age 92)  
On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Rose Mary Greenwood; brother-in-law of Michael Francesca and Vido Francesca. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Born in Surrey, England in 1924, Stuart moved to western Super Mare at the age of 10. He attended private school in England. In his 20's he immigrated to Canada. Stuart received a Master's degree in Engineering at McGill University. He moved to Winnipeg and taught at the University. Stuart then immigrated to the US and attended the University of Maryland, where he received his PhD in aerospace engineering. He worked at the University of Maryland in the Research Department and continued his career as an aerospace engineer. Stuart and Rose Mary married in 1989 and shared a deeply loving relationship. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, September 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Interment private.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
