Carol V. Normand, 74, Marathon died Friday, November 21, 2014 at her home.

She was born December 12, 1939 in Wausau, daughter of the late Andrew and Frances (Grabowski) Schilling. On February 8, 1958 she married Maurice A. Normand at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.

Carol was a homemaker and was proud of the fact that she was able to stay at home and raise her five children. She also was a part time cook at Hack's Diner, Marathon. Carol enjoyed quilting, sewing, camping, making some of the best soups, and making homemade clothing for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice A. Normand, Marathon, Anthony "Tony" (Sarah) Normand, Wausau, Charles (Lori) Normand, Wausau, Paul (Rebecca) Normand, Mechanicsburg, PA and Maureen (Russell) Anklam, Marathon, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Geraldine Weisenberger, Merrill and two brothers, Robert Schilling, Nevada and Chester (Paulette) Schilling, Hayward and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son Michael, two brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. There will be a private family entombment. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Marathon funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Carol's name.
