Fred Klinedinst Obituary

YORK Fred A. Klinedinst, 72, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at his residence. He was the husband of Norma J. (Bowman) Klinedinst, with whom he celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on July 15, 2014. Mr. Klinedinst was born in York County on September 2, 1942, son of the late Francis A. and Evelyn L. (Wildasin) Klinedinst. He was employed as a cable braider/machine operator for the former First Capital Wire and Cable of York, and Continental Wire and Cable, Inc., York for 30 years. Additional employments included Mosley Farm in Seven Valleys for 10 years and John W. Kerchner for 20 years. Fred was an avid hunter, fisherman and horseman. He was a member of the PA Rangers Riding Club, WWW Lodge of Huntington PA and the Tunnel Hill Gun Club. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Jamie A. Klinedinst of York New Salem; two grandchildren, Cody A.W. and Bailey A. Klinedinst; two sisters, Florence Waltermyer of Seven Valleys, Karen Stough of Stoverstown; a brother, Robert Klinedinst of Stoverstown; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin Klinedinst. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Robert M. Goodling Funeral Services, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys. Officiating will be Pastor Brad H. Dayett of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stoverstown. Final resting place will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Viewings will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
