Uncle Dick was quite the character. Always considered him my favorite uncle. We shared the enjoyment of motorcycle riding, especially our Harleys. I didn't realize until a few years ago what a true American hero he was. I'm so glad that I got to see him one last time at Aunt Thelma's funeral. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife.

I was a single mother and i lived in the middle of the block for more than 15 years. Dick was one of the last origanal people on the block. i remember all the thing Dick did from snowblowing the sidewalks for all of us and the one really bad snow storm he snow blowed the alley so we all could get out to go to work. he also knocked on our doors to remind us to move our car for street cleaning and and he always knew what was going on in our neighbood.i'll never forget when my kids were litle they never were allow to walk off the front porch but often they would ask to go up and see Dick and Gunner sitting on the front porch. My girls and i have alot of memories of growing up with that special man up the street. you will be remembered. Wendy Wells

You were a wonderful grandfather and role-model. You can be as proud of yourself as I am of you. It is with a heavy heart, that I say good bye to such a wonderful person. Tell grandma that I love her. I miss both of you, more than words could ever say. Thank you for everything you taught me. I will miss the war stories and the Christmas holiday's; however, when I look up at the stars, I will know that you and grandma are there looking down on us. Tracy, Dave, Katie, Madison, Matthew Jr., and Dustin send there love. We miss you pap.....
