Uncle Dick was quite the character. Always considered him my favorite uncle. We shared the enjoyment of motorcycle riding, especially our Harleys. I didn't realize until a few years ago what a true American hero he was. I'm so glad that I got to see him one last time at Aunt Thelma's funeral. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife.

You were a wonderful grandfather and role-model. You can be as proud of yourself as I am of you. It is with a heavy heart, that I say good bye to such a wonderful person. Tell grandma that I love her. I miss both of you, more than words could ever say. Thank you for everything you taught me. I will miss the war stories and the Christmas holiday's; however, when I look up at the stars, I will know that you and grandma are there looking down on us. Tracy, Dave, Katie, Madison, Matthew...
