I made him cuban coffe every day because he liked it.
I know he will be missed by his family

My heart is so saddened by the loss of Mr. Barimo. I have the fondest memories of him laughing with me (and his famous BBQ ribs!!) and making me feel so welcome and part of your beautiful family. I have thought of all of you so often over the years and hope that you know you all played such an important part in my life so long ago. Thank you for that. I will never forget what he did for me and the joy that he brought to all of us. His memory will forever live in my heart.

Dear Lucille, Sharon, Basil, Ken & Steve
I very much loved my dearest cousin Basil the moment I met him in 1991. He was my first Barimo cousin whom I met in the US. Basil was a very caring, loving, generous, a good husband, proud father and a grandfather. Basil repeatedly assured me that I am part of his family; he always called me “Bint Ammi” (you are my favorite cousin). Basil was and will always be very dear to me; he was a second father for me here in the US. He was a good listener, never hesitated to extend his love and support, and his encouraging words helped me a lot when I needed the most. Basil will be dearly missed by me and my husband John and by my parents (Rizkalla & Aida). Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time, may the Lord grant you all the strength, courage and stamina to deal with your loss.

Mrs. Barimo & family, I am so sorry to hear about Basil's passing. He hired me at FPL in 1981 and was always such a kind gentleman and a pleasure to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm very saddened to read of Basil's death and I hope that all the fond memories of him over decades help to ease the pain and sadness at this time. He was a great neighbor and I'm so glad that I visited with him last April and with the two of you last August when visiting Franklin. He was good people as they say and it was an honor to know him.

Basil was such a nice person to know and to work for. I left FPL and moved away in 1978, but returned in 1986. When I was away I would always look forward to stopping by the Coral Gables office when I came to town, to see and talk with Basil. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
