Our beloved son and brother, William Kent Werner, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on January 1, 2004. He was born in Provo, Utah, on September 27, 1963. He was the first child of Glen H. Werner and Dawn Werner Jaussi.

Dear Werner family,

I am so sorry to hear about Kent's passing. I'm sorry I did not attend the services. I did not find out about Kent until the day of the funeral. I am glad my parents and sister, Pam, were able to attend. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Werner Family,

I so sorry to hear about Kent. I just heard the news or I would have been at his funeral to offer you my sincerest condolences. Kent was a good friend of mine since we were in the 5th grade . I'll always remember his infectious laugh, warm smile and the twinkle he always had in his eye. He was always a good cook; it was Kent who taught me how to make snickerdoodles when we were in grade school. We had some really fun times together and I'll always remember Kent! He was truly a class-act!

Dear Werner family,

Just a note to say how much I appreciated having Kent as a friend. His smile was contagious and his upbeat humor always present. I was very impressed with the kind and deserving remarks at his funeral today. I left with a smile and an appreciation for life, just like I think Kent would have liked, and I look forward to seeing him once again. Thanks Mom Werner for welcoming me into your home and for your friendship.

My condolences to the family of Elder Kent Werner. It was a shock to read of his passing. I remember him well in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission. What a vibrant personality. My husband, G. Phillip Margetts presided over that mission from 1982 to 1984.

Sincerely,

Kent was the kind of guy that could make anyone laugh. It seemed like he was up to something all the time because he was always grinning ear to ear. I met Kent in college and played on a few different intramurel sports teams with him. He was a fierce competitor and a great person to be with. I'll miss seeing him at the Artichoke. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am saddened to hear of Kent’s passing. Kent was blessed with amazing talents and was always fun to talk to. We went to high school together and have kept in occasional contact through the years. I wish to extend my condolences to the family, especially to Jolynn, Todd, and Craig, as I am currently out of town and will not be able to attend Kent’s funeral.

With deepest sympathies,

My heart is so heavy at the loss of Kent. I knew Kent from the time we were very young. He was my friend and fellow clogger for many years. I feel privilaged to have known him. I will always cherish the many laughs we shared as we traveled the country with our fellow cloggers. May our Heavenly Father watch over you and comfort all of you at this time of great loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We love you Kent and will miss your fun-loving, unconditional friendship. Thank you for being "fun Uncle Kent" and spending time with us. Thank you for allowing Brittney and Thomas to come work for you on the weekends. They always looked forward to it and we all will miss you so much.

Kent was a good friend, I will miss seeing him at the Roasted Artichoke, and remember the many great times we had at the UofU. He was there to help me recover from a divorce and I will miss him.

What can I say ? There are no words that can adequately express my feelings as I sit here in shock and disbelief. My heart aches for Kent's loved ones. He was and is a great guy and will be greatly missed by all. We should never take for granted each living breath we take . Sam and I remember Kent well and will share memories of him when we can think more clearly...still in shock from this. God be with all of us as we mourn our loss.
