It was with much sadness that I learned of Pete's accident and death. My heart goes out to Bobbie and family for thier loss. Pete will be remembered as one of the truely stalwart " team " members of our early MPAD and Flight Control organizations.It was an honor to have known and worked with Pete. His bright smile will be missed!

We've lost one of the true,unsung, pioneers of the US Space Programs. I'm proud to have known and worked with Pete since 1962. He was the most competent, yet unassuming, leader in my experience on Apollo & Apollo-Soyuz. I am also proud that he was a fellow aero engineer out of UT---"hook'em, Pete!"

When Mom told me...I was just stunned by the news. I always thought y'all had the coolest parents. I still remember them dancing at my brother David's wedding...and everyone commenting how good they were.

Pete was a great person to know as a CFI and a member of the Bay Area Aero Club. I have enjoyed the privilege of flying with him on a few occasions and I along with the other members of our flying club will miss him.
