GIBSON, ROSIE MAE - age 63, of Powell, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at UT Hospital. Rosie was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by: parents, Millard and Ida Heifner; sister, Dorothy Gibson; grandson, Brian Alexander Womack. Survivors include: children: David and Sandra Kelly, Daniel and Ann Kelly, Rebecca and John Mathew, Deborah and Kevin Summers, Mary Womack, and Dennis Womack; grandchildren: Bryan and Shane Capps, Ashley, Joshua, Lisa, and Benjamin Kelly, Jessalyn Jannenga-Kelly, William Mathew, Grace Rose Summers, Andrew Womack; great-grandchildren: Ethan Daniels, Jace Capps, Shaley Capps; brothers: Millard Asbury Heifner, Jr., Robert Heifner, and Carl Heifner; sister: Jane West; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations made to American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Friday, from 6 pm until the 8 pm funeral service, officiated by Pastor John McGaha. Family and friends will assemble Saturday 10:45 am at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11 am graveside services. Rosie will be greatly missed. I'm blessed to have met her and to have such a great friend in her daughter Mary. I'm thankful that God brought Rosie and her wonderful family into my life. I know that Rosie has a smile on her face right now sitting next to her beloved grandson Brian. We miss you both very much.
