Mary Mays Obituary

Mary Evelyn Mays, 86 years young, was born on January 25, 1925 in Bakersfield, California to Truman and Bertha Denio. She passed away on February 8, 2011.

Mary married Walter Mays on July 29, 1942. She was a housewife that traveled extensively with her husband Walter, a livestock buyer. Mary and Walter moved to Ellensburg, Washington in 1984 and resided there until their deaths. Mary enjoyed knitting until her eyesight began to fade.

She was preceded in death by toddler brother Jack and her husband Walter Mays. Mary is survived by daughter Caryl Delcid and son Don (Paula) Mays, grandchildren Michael Delcid, Tandy Vasquez, Gabriel Delcid, Tyler (Melinda), Marcus (Stacy), Miles Mays and great grandchildren Courtney and Michael Delcid, Tatum and Macy Vasquez, Jaelynn Delcid and McKinley, Morgan, Cooper and Kyler Mays.

A family gathering was held in her honor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice.

Hello May's family. What a shock to hear of your loss. My two sisters, Dorothy and Inez and I grew up from infants with Mary. We all loved her very much and spent many of our childhood days with she and Aunt Birdie and Uncle Trum. I have never met any of you, but would love to hear from all of you...
