Sorry for the lose of your loved one. I am praying for strength and comfort for each family member and friends. You do not know me, but as I went out to Park Hill Cemetery today to water my 30 yr. old (now 32 yr. old) daughter's resting place, I saw your funeral sign; "Payne". Then, as I went on line tonight to sign in on my daughter's (Audrey Martin) guest bk, I saw the name Payne again, and felt I just had to write something to let you know that there IS people who care, even though they don't know you! My last name use to be Payne, back in 1993. I have remarried. I know how it is to lose a loved one, I lost my daughter, mother, father, brother, little sister, best friend, and aunts and uncles and a cousin, (12 people) all in two years time. Only by the help and grace and comfort of God am I able to stand today and still say "praise the Lord, in all things, for He truly knows best"..........even when WE don't understand, He does. We just have to trust Him. May God be w/u and yours. All our love & prayers.

My prayers are with all of you. My mother, Ocie Mitchell, taught school with Mrs. Payne for a number of years. Jill and I were classmates at Richards Jr. High and at Hardaway.
