Sylvester J. Lubovinsky

1941 - 2016

Sylvester J. "Silvers" Lubovinsky, 75, of Mt. Pleasant Township, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the Allegheny General Hospital. Silvers was born May 24, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Stanley M. Sr. and Mary Barrick Lubovinsky. He is a member of the Visitation Church, a student of the former Hurst High School, a member of the Hecla Sportsman and the Kosciuszko Clubs. Prior to retirement, he was employed by L.E. Smith Glass. Silvers enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all having spirited conversation with family and friends. Surviving is a daughter, Jessica Dean and husband, Albert; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Spaugy; his brother, William "Zip" Lubovinsky and wife, Freda, of Scottdale; also several nieces, nephews and aunts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley Jr., Walter and Joseph "Zip" Lubovinsky.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday in the Visitation Church, Walnut Street, Mt. Pleasant, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. The SALOOM-PETERSON FUNERAL HOME of Youngwood entrusted with arrangements.
