Dear Carol,

I used to work at Temple Chai and our daughters went to camp together one summer. You and I always had nice conversations when you came into the Temple office. I was saddened to see the news about Larry in the newspaper and want to express my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I hope that time, in some way, will ease the grief you now feel and the memories of your beautiful life together will sustain you in the future. Sincerely, Miriam Kaufman

Dear Eric:

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Though it has been many years since seeing you, and childhood since seeing your father (remember Indian Guides), I know the joy your father brought to so many people will live on in the fond memories of him as a husband, father, and grandfather.

Carol:

I first met Larry in 1969 when I began working at the IRS, and over the years I followed Larry's career as a partner at Weiss & Co. About 5 years ago Larry encouraged me to audition for BG Singers and I did. At rehearsals Larry was so very helpful to me and others offering complements and words of encouragement. He was a wonderful, kind and loving person, a true mensch and I will miss him.

Carol:

My deepest condolences over the lost of your beloved Larry.

As a member of the BG Singers I will always remember Larry as a kind, soft spoken, warm, and caring person.

He would always come up to me and say how he enjoyed watching me on the stage, how good a dancer I was, and how I looked like I was really enjoying myself.I would always return the compliment to him. We made each other feel good. When I was out of a job he tried to hook me up with a job and would always ask how I was doing even though we were not close friends.

I will miss him greatly and think of him everytime I perform in the future.

Again, my wife Sue and I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you.

It’s decades ago that I last saw either Larry or Richard, a close childhood friend when we were neighbors in the 1950s and again for a time in college. Nonetheless, I remember your family with great fondness for the long hours I enjoyed in your home next door to us on the west side of Chicago. I am saddened to read of your loss.
