Anna Hastings Obituary

Anna May Hastings, age 90 of Nevada, Missouri died Saturday June 22, 2024 at her home. She was born March 18, 1934 to James LeRoy and Lydia Jane Trask Keating in Lewistown, Montana.

Anna grew up in Uitca, Montana where she attended grade school and then went to high school in Hobson, Montana. On March 1, 1951 she married Herbert William Hastings and to this union, seven children were born. Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nevada, Missouri. Anna enjoyed spending time with her cats, fishing, reading, gardening, oil painting and traveling.

Anna is survived by seven children, Dianne Welch and husband Randy of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, Herbert Hastings and wife Theresa of Helena, Montana, Heather Mann of Nevada, Missouri, Paul Hastings and wife Paige of Wylie, Texas, David Hastings and wife Kathy of Lewistown, Montana, Audrey VanGordon and husband John of Butler, Missouri and Christy Gibson and significant other David Bell of Shell City, Missouri; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Keating. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Hastings on May 3, 1997; and two sisters, Margo Gagin and Barbara Twiford.

It was the wishes of Anna Hastings to be cremated with no public services at this time. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Online condolences www.schowengerdtchapel.com.
