Richard White Obituary
Butch was born May 26, 1945 in Anchorage. His family later relocated to Kenai in 1947. From an early age helping his father restore engines in the garage, he developed his skills as an exceptional mechanic.
He later went to earn his pilot's license and had a passion for flying his Piper PA 20, which he built. He also enjoyed restoring classic autos of the '50s and '60s era. He built race car engines and received several awards.
Richard worked and enjoyed his career as a oil field mechanic foreman and heavy-equipment operator for over 30 years with GLM Energy Services.
Forever in our hearts, he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry White
Butch is survived by his wife, Jacque White; brother Skip White; sister Irene Varhaug; his mother, Alex White; daughter Carly Thaggard and her husband Tim; stepsons Dru and Sunrise Brinkerhoff; former wife Elaine White and daughter Victoria White and husband Matt; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Please join us in a celebration of life and potluck from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday July 1, at the Quality Inn, 10352 Kenai Spur Highway.

Our friendship goes way back to when I was a young upstart. Butch was was always a gentle sole who didn't mind sharing his knowledge. We shared a love of motorcycles and riding, a memory I will always cherish. I had the pleasure of working with butch as well. Rest In Peace my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Butch's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Butch when he worked at Tesoro. He was such a kind man to know. My prayers are with Butch's family and friends.
