Garry Mose Obituary

Mose, Garry S. 07/04/1941~ 07/25/2013 EL CAJON, CA-- Loving husband, father and grandfather (Papa) is at rest after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a native San Diegan. Before his 32 years at Solar Turbines, he spent 8 years in the Navy as a submarine sailor. He was an amateur astronomer for over 20 years, going to many school sky parties. Hundreds of children have looked through his telescope over the years. He loved talking and teaching about the solar system. Health issues prevented him from keeping up with his much beloved astronomy club, so he moved into less physical hobbies. He loved collecting old games & rock collection. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marna, 3 children Christine, Kimberly and Kevin, 4 grandchildren Katherine, Jacqueline, Thomas and Annette and three sisters. May God speed my husband and best friend until we meet again. Graveside service Friday, August 2, 2013, 11 a.m., Singing Hills Memorial Park, 2800 Dehesa Rd., El Cajon.

One of the first people to greet me when I joined SDAA was Garry. He was funny, smart, generous and a tome of information. And, he had wonderful stories. Please know that Garry was one of a kind and very special. May your hearts be warmed by the love you shared with him.
